CREATING CONVERSION CONTEXTS

(AKA PLAYING BUSINESS ON G-D MODE)

Your prospect should be feeling:

  1. Positive surprise / magic / synchronicity (a prevailing sense that this is “meant to be”)
  2. Witnessed / Appreciated / Seen Heard
  3. Self-Confidence
  4. Clarity over what they want
  5. Connection to their power and ability to achieve it
  6. Connection with you as someone who can lead them (aka resonance)
  7. Security (that it’s a safe decision and they’ll be seen favorably for making it)

Your “funnel” only creates a basic container where these elements are made possible.
But a funnel, on its own, lacks the beating heart and dynamic flow to fully create the context that provides all 7 elements.

That’s why a paltry 2% conversion rate is considered “good”. But here’s the important paradigm shift you need to accept if you’re going to take your conversion rates into the double digits.

A funnel’s primary job isn’t to create a final conversion…

It’s to create feedback loops and collect data that signal to you when it’s time to intervene in a more personalized touchpoint.

Example 1: A funnel gives you the chance to turn a total stranger into an email subscriber. This in of itself holds a “little’ bit of value. But when your CRM feeds you this data, you have a chance to send a 90 second personalized video welcoming the new member and opening up a more intimate conversation that can drastically increase the odds of a sale downstream.


Example 2: An automated email sequence will be somewhat successful in coaching a new subscriber towards a sale. But when that same sequence helps you identify WHO is opening and clicking in all the emails; and even consuming your lead magnet; you have a chance to personally intervene and mirror back their high commitment while powerfully coaching and guiding their next steps.

Your funnel is therefore a starting point. It’s the scaffolding that creates a degree of structural integrity to an otherwise uncontained ecosystem.

But it’s what happens within it; and all the dynamic actions, behaviors and intentions our prospect shows; that really sets us off on the path towards record-breaking conversion numbers.
